About The Library
The Frances T. Bourne Jacaranda Public Library is noted for its lovely setting, surrounded by lush native vegetation. The serene pond is filled with lily pads and visiting herons. There is a nature walk along the shore and benches for patrons to sit, relax and enjoy the lovely views.
The library serves the communities of South and East Venice, the West Villages and North Englewood. It is conveniently located at the corner of Jacaranda Boulevard and Woodmere Park Boulevard in South Venice.
The Friends Book Shop
Shop for bargains at the Friends Book Shop. It is one of our main sources of income. Donations of gently used books, CDs, DVDs, magazines and puzzles are always welcome.
We are a nonprofit 501(C)(3) corporation, so all funds from memberships or memorial tributes go directly to the Friends and are tax-deductible. Please become a member and help the Friends enable the Jacaranda Public Library to provide the best in library services for our community.
Visit our Membership Page for more information.
Also, our Legacy Tree has been installed next to the Book Shop and members who donate $200 or more, will have their names engraved under the Tree. Donations can also be made as memorials or in tribute to loved ones.
